FA Vase quarter final
AFC Stoneham 3
Coventry United 0
Scorers: Bainbridge(2), Jenkins.
Crowd: 446
In possibly the biggest game in our clubs 106 year history our boys produced a great performance and result to be proud of.
We led 2-0 at half time through Bainbridge and Jenkins after our opponents were reduced to 10 men with the sending off of Charlie Faulkner on 25 minutes following a challenge on keeper Callum Lee.
Lee had already made an outstanding save on two minutes following a piledriver by Faulkner that he somehow tipped over the bar.
The boys managed the second half well and probably should have increased our lead before Bainbridge sealed the win on 72 minutes.
The whole club feels immense pride tonight having now reached the last four of a national competition that attracted nearly 700 teams.
Mondays draw on Talk sport radio will produce two semi finals to be played over two legs.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us today in supporting the boys to a historic victory.
A truly wonderful day for our club which will live in the memory for many years to come!
